Bolivia and Chile discuss access to the Pacific

I s is the initial meeting between two countries on the issue of access to the Pacific for 50 years. The last meeting to reach an agreement failed to La Paz in 1962. Recall that Bolivia had access to the sea until she lost the war against Chile 134 years ago. Moreno, who spoke with the media in Chile, has "said happy to meet with his Bolivian counterpart. We will work hard to give the best of ourselves to find a solution with our Bolivian friends. "
The Chilean proposal to restore a maritime area in Bolivia has resurfaced under the government of Michelle Bachelet, the former Chair. But we know that the current president, Sebastian Piñera, does not support this proposal and for this reason, there is room to wonder if this meeting is not a smokescreen.
